Spanish Perspectives Curriculum
Phase One of the Spanish Perspectives translation project is nearly done! It was funded by a generous gift from one church that is eager to see the Spanish Perspectives curriculum become a reality. Our stellar translation team is making super progress and are right on schedule to finish the translation of the Fourth Edition Reader and Study Guide by the target completion date of July 15, 2012. Funding is needed now to translate the remaining elements of the Perspectives curriculum into Spanish and to conduct some training events to help us launch Perspectivas in Hispanic communities all across the U.S. and in Latin America. Perspectives South Africa
Perspectives South Africa is in a critical start-up phase. They are transitioning from a single ministry running one intensive class per year to a national study program with national leadership. Last year they ran two pilot classes from which they are building their national steering committee and coordinating teams. They have established a vision for assertive expansion into the major urban areas of the country which will require significant travel by the national director and others to do promotion and training.
Entrepreneurial ministries, like businesses, always need some start-up capital. Even if all four of the classes this year break even or better, there will not be enough volume from program fees to cover the national development expenses. The difference needs to be made up with fundraising. In addition to their own efforts they have asked if we would present this opportunity to our alumni. The shortfall in the national budget is expected to be $6,000. The need for a loan for purchasing and shipping books in enough volume to make them affordable is $6,400. This money will be returned to Perspectives Global for a revolving fund for similar loans to other emerging programs.

Perspectives Global Media Project
This is a foundational project for Perspectives and will capture the essence of the Perspectives course on video. It will initially include 5 - 10 videos per lesson with engaging and creative instructional, documentary, case-study and testimonial footage. The videos will be made flexible enough to be used in several ways in multiple formats including Current Perspectives Classes, Perspectives Online and in various Perspectives Global settings. Ken Shackelford, the Executive Producer for the media project, is currently working with our Creative Director, Joe Michie, to recruit a team of Media Professionals while at the same time networking with Christian Media Groups around the country and around the world.

Perspectives China
God’s desire is to mobilize Christians in China to engage in strategic involvement in His plan for all peoples. The Perspectives Study Program is a vital tool in this process. The goal of the Perspectives China project is to make Perspectives available in the Chinese language suitable for use in mainland China and then facilitate the publishing and teaching of the course.
Perspectives China is a multi-phase mobilization process that is based on successful models implemented in the US, Australia, Korea, Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil and other countries. The first phase is underway and fully funded: Training Chinese Translators through a Perspectives Intensive Course. Upcoming phases will include having a Draft of the Chinese Translation ready by mid-2013, a Field Test consisting of 6-8 Course Offerings in different areas of China, Printing by 2014, and formation of a China mobilization network.

Perspectives Intensive for Chinese Translators
The Church in China has great potential as a powerful force for sending laborers to the unreached harvest fields in the world. While the Church in China does not lack vision, it has a great need for education, resources and training to realize her potential to be a force in missions, much as China is a force in economics and other areas. We are on the verge of beginning a multi-phase, multi-year project to launch Perspectives in China. Phase One of this project is to translate the Fourth Edition of Perspectives into Chinese. The critical first step in the translation phase is to lead the translators through a Perspectives Intensive course in Asia this fall. Your partnership is needed to cover travel and lodging expenses for the translation and instructor teams.
