Our Criteria
First of all, there are fantastic ministries that are not our partners. We actually try to keep our number of partners to a minimum, because our main reason in developing partnership is to help Perspectives students and alumni navigate through the thousands of possibilities. Just because we are not partnered with an agency does not mean they are not excellent or frontier-focused.
Basic Criteria:
- Focused on frontier missions
Using cross-cultural ministry to reach the unreached. While many ministries include frontier missions, not as many have it as their primary focus. We also try to focus on agencies that are sending North American people long term, since that is the Perspectives audience.
- Centered on the same heart and essence of Perspectives
Agrees with the 16 Core Ideas of the Perspectives curriculum. Here are just a few:
- God's purpose is to bless all peoples so that Christ will be served and glorified among all peoples.
- Completing the task requires collaborative efforts of churches and mission agencies from diverse cultures and traditions.
- Completing the mission task requires the initiation and growth of church-planting movements that follow social avenues of influence.
- Completing the task requires effective cross-cultural evangelism that follows communication patterns within cultures.
- See the 16 Core Ideas of Perspectives.
- Known and respected among other ministries
Mature ministries that have a proven history and track record of ministry, are willing to partner with other ministries, and have gained the respect of the missions community.
